Travis Tritt y’all

Wednesday 5/11

Anel is doing great.

In the mornings I use small plastic medicine cups and divvy out our vitamins and Anel’s meds. Mind you one of her meds is a controlled substance. Well, today I was off and yep, I threw back her cup of vitamins and meds. It didn’t take long for my eyes to get heavy and swear I could feel a wet blanket laid on my head. Anel thought it was so funny and I’m sure there’s a smidgen of, “Uh-huh big boy. Try to say your alphabet backward now.”

She’s doing great. House is coming along. Kids are doing well. Brick by brick.

Much love.

Friday 5/6

Anel is doing great.

We just crossed the year mark and I’ve been reliving each day. The facilities, the decisions, the talks with the kids, and friends loving on us. It all comes back with emotions in tow. It’s been encouraging, to say the least, to see how well she’s doing now. My partner is coming back. She’s been busy stacking bricks.

Below is another video showing her walking at school. She’s currently walking about 600 feet a day. The wrap on her right foot keeps her toes up. She’s still working on getting full control over her ankle.

Tuesday 3/8, Anel’s birthday

Anel is having a great day today. She’s been a little extra all day. ;) We’re going out for a family meal tonight and then some presents after dinner. This last week she had told me emphatically, “Pumpken, save the money and spend it on the house. I don’t want any presents.” This morning when I put my hand on her shoulder, those eyes popped wide open and she said, “It’s my birthday. Where’s my present!” “Babygirl, you told me not to buy you anything.” “I changed my mind. Where’s my present!” . . . . . yep. . . . . she’s back.

Much love. Look forward to seeing you.

Wednesday 2/23

This morning I rolled over and asked Anel if she wanted to skip work. She giggled like a schoolgirl, said yes, and nodded off again. I got up, got my coffee, and kept going in to check on her. She slept till 11. lol

If you know one of us you’re invited to her birthday party. It’ll be on Saturday, March 26th from 12–5 here at the house. We’ll have some charcuterie, cheese, wine, and cake . . . . until we don’t. Come swing by and hug her neck if you have time. She said no presents . . . . until she can drink, then she’ll throw a wine party. ;) Shoot me a text or email me for the address.

Looking forward to it.

Tuesday 2/15

Anel is doing well.

This morning in the truck she pulled the visor down to look in the mirror. It reminded me of one of the first times she got back in my truck. She didn’t remember her age, she wasn’t sure if we were married, but by God, she remembered there was a mirror on that visor. Funny how it all works.

Talk soon.

Thank you!
