Day 14, morning

Living with Anel
1 min readMay 11, 2021

Tuesday 5/11 am

Anel is definitely catching up on her sleep.

They removed the cooling mat last night. I’m used to her hands always being cold. She has hands and feet of ice. A couple of days ago they were warm. Today they’re warm again. I thought for sure she had a fever. I asked Emily to come take her temp. She graciously obliged knowing I’d have 5 questions in tow as well. 97.9. hmmm This girl keeps me guessing. All night no temp. Win.

Her blood pressure is 123/65. No IV blood pressure drip last night. Just her twice a day blood pressure medication. Her swelling is still coming down.

She opened her eyes this morning when I was wiping her face off with a cool rag. She was less than impressed. She did look at me with both eyes, yawned really big, and closed them again. Maybe I’ll see a shoulder shrug and a body adjustment next time. :)

The big order of the day is LTAC. We’ll find one and get her moved soon.

Anel it’s time to wake up girl.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
